Giving at Epworth

 

There are many different ways for you to contribute financially in support of God's work through Epworth.

 

 

The easiest way to give is to use our “E-Giving” service.  This service is administered by E-Giving Envelope Services in conjunction with Cokesbury – one of the most trusted names in stewardship resources.  It offers a secure, convenient and flexible way to give without the hassle of writing checks.  We're confident that once you try it, you won’t want to go back to writing checks!

 

 

We believe giving is an act of worship and an important part of our services.  We provide offering envelopes to any regular contributor who wishes to use them.  Contact our Financial Secretary (financialsecretary@epworthworcester.org) to request your own box of offering envelopes.

You can donate almost any sellable item (e.g. collectibles, household goods, DVDs etc.) in support of Epworth’s work.  We list these items for sale on Ebay, to ensure we secure the maximum value for your donation.  If you have any such items that you’d like to donate, please contact auctions@epworthworcester.org to arrange for pick-up.  You can view the items currently listed for sale at our Epworth Auctions page.

 

You can also donate appreciated assets like stock to 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations like Epworth.  When doing so, you are generally exempt from paying capital gains tax.  This is a good way to support Epworth’s mission and ministry while also maximizing the resources entrusted to you.  Please contact our Financial Secretary (financialsecretary@epworthworcester.org) for more information.  We also advise you to consult with your financial planner or tax adviser before making a stock donation to Epworth, to determine how the potential tax advantages described above apply to your specific situation.

 

 

You can support Epworth's mission and ministry when you shop online at selected websites, and it won’t cost you a cent.  Whenever you make a purchase Epworth will receive a portion of the proceeds.  You can also support local efforts to prevent family homelessness by purchasing grocery gifts cards at Epworth.  Visit our Shop and Give page to learn more
