Small Groups

 

We offer a number of opportunities for spiritual growth and connecting with others in a small group setting. 

 

Beginning January 8, 2012 (Sunday) at 11:30 p.m., "Following Jesus: Steps to a Passionate Faith" is a 12-week study for anyone beginning their faith walk or for anyone looking for a deeper foundation in the Christian faith.  This group study leads youth and adults to rediscover Jesus, grow in the spirit and learn to live in faith and in service to the church, community and world.  Call it…Christianity 101, Adult Confirmation, Back to the Basics, A Refresher in My Faith.  Whatever you call it…be sure to join a group and plan to follow Jesus in 2012 - a New Year's Resolution that will truly make a difference!  Reserve your spot by contacting the church office at 508-752-2376 or office@epworthworcester.org.  Weekday groups will be added according to demand.

 

Our Men's Bible Study offers an opportunity for a weekly time of exploring the Bible together.  Two groups meet for one hour each week (on Mondays at 11:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., respectively) to read the scripture for the upcoming Sunday and share prayer requests with each other.  All men are welcome and no experience is necessary - just drop in when you can.

 

Companions in Christ is a small group exploration into faith practices including worship, scripture reading, prayer, discernment and more.  If you're looking for a way to connect with others on a Christian journey, to be closer with God, to explore questions of faith in a safe confidential place, to laugh and learn and grow - this is for you!  Check out our September newsletter to see what others who have participated in this group have to say about it, or read the story of Companions in Christ to learn more.  Groups meet for 28 weeks (the current session runs from mid-October to early May) and schedules are determined by participants' schedules (typcally there are daytime and evening groups).  Contact the church office to register your interest ahead of the next session.
